We are formed as people by our parents and close family, our local community and our school environment. Good teachers inspire us to be our best, broaden our outlook and demonstrate how we should aim to live good and successful lives of peace and prosperity.
It is in school that many of our key thoughts and outlooks are formed. But in this place of security we can also face bullying and discrimination.
Building on the work of a legendary educator Derek Peaple we will be presenting mini world@peace programmes that allow schoolchildren and their schools to examine personal values and attributes, their application to safe and respectful school environments and how to carry these forward to adulthood from our local to global communities.
Peace and stability matters to every single person on this planet. We want to work toward giving everyone the opportunity – in their homes and in their community - to come together to strive for that peace.
Through world@peace mini programmes and ActionForPeace initiatives, people will have the opportunity to learn, express and lead initiatives in their community and the wider world.
